Rising hospital and physician prices in the U.S. contribute to higher insurance premiums and make care less affordable for consumers. In the NASHP report, Weighing Policy Trade-offs: Overview of NASHP’s Model Prohibiting Anticompetitive Contracting, The Source Senior Health Policy Researcher Katie Gudiksen, together with Johanna Butler and Erin Fuse Brown, identify different policy tools to combat high costs, including price transparency and prohibition of anticompetitive contracting.
