Medicare supplement benefit coverage – The bill would prohibit the sale of standardized Medicare supplement benefit plans C, F, and high deductible F to newly eligible beneficiaries. Note: The CDI Commissioner, sponsor of this bill, writes that if California does not make the changes outlined in the NAIC Model Act prior to January 1, 2020, California may lose its regulatory authority over Medicare Supplement plans.
