PAYMENT OF HEALTH CARE CLAIMS: Neither a health insurer nor an HMO may retroactively deny a claim because of insured ineligibility at any time, if the health insurer or HMO verified the eligibility of an insured/subscriber at the time of treatment and provided an authorization number. This paragraph applies to policies entered into or renewed on or after January 1, 2019.
