PROHIBITING CERTAIN INSURER FROM TERMINATING OR REFUSING TO ISSUE OR RENEW A PHYSICIAN CONTRACT UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES: HB 3229, as introduced, prohibits an insurer issuing health benefit plans from terminating or refusing to renew a contract with a physician because the physician referred the insured person to another physician not in the preferred provider organization network.
