Tex. Health & Safety Code § 324.051. Consumer Guide to Health Care-Department Website: Consumer Access to Healthcare Information – Texas

Mandates that the department create a consumer guide to health care which it displays on its website. The information should include pricing information and the correlation between actual charges billed for a procedure and the charge billed to the patient. The guide should also include a comparison between the facility’s cost for a procedure and the average cost of that procedure.
