An Act Prohibiting Health Carriers From Denying Coverage For Certain Covered Benefits Provided In Hospital Emergency Rooms. To provide that no health carrier that delivers, issues for delivery, renews, amends or continues a health insurance policy in this state shall deny coverage for a covered benefit provided to an insured in a hospital emergency room because the covered benefit could have been provided to the insured in another health care setting.
