There is established within the department a patient safety center, referred to in this article as “the center”. The purpose of the center is to maximize patient safety, reduce medical errors, and improve the quality of health care by improving systems of data reporting, collection, analysis and dissemination, and to improve public access to health care information not otherwise restricted.
