Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, no group health insurance contract issued by a health service corporation pursuant to the provisions of P.L.1985, C.236 shall contain any provision which denies benefits for a preexisting condition to any person becoming a member of that group. A health service corporation shall not include a preexisting condition as a factor in calculating the premium. See definition section N.J. Rev. Stat. § 17:48E-1.
