An insurer that offers a Medicare supplement policy shall provide to the applicant at the time of application an outline of coverage in written or electronic format and, except for direct response solicitation policies, shall obtain an acknowledgment of receipt of the outline of coverage from the applicant in written or electronic format. The outline of coverage provided to applicants under this section must consist of the following 4 parts.
