This bill requires the Department of Health and Human Services, no later than July 1, 2024, to enroll children who are in foster care in the MaineCare program and to maintain their enrollment until they reach 26 years of age. The bill requires that the department waive the annual eligibility determination for the MaineCare program during this period and requires that the department, no later than 90 days after the effective date of this legislation, submit a state plan amendment or waiver, as determined necessary by the department, to the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
