Statute authorizes the secretary to submit a waiver request to implement the Louisiana Access to Better Care Medicaid Insurance Demonstration Project, with the purpose of providing a more cost-effective means of providing health care coverage. Statutes require insurers to offer at least one policy that is considered high deductible catastrophic health insurance. Insurers must provide prospective participants with a list of information about the plan.
