La. Rev. Stat. Ann. §§ 40:1185.1 through 40:1185.6: Federally Qualified Health Center and Rural Health Clinic Expansion Act – Louisiana

Status: Enacted
Year Enacted: 2004
File: Download

Statutes recognize that Louisiana has fewer federally qualified health centers and and rural health clinics than neighboring states, leading to a gap in the provision of community-based preventive and primary health care services for the uninsured. Statute authorizes the department to develop and implement a long-term plan to accomplish the policy of expanding and developing federally qualified health centers and rural health clinics.
