Statutes address the relative inability of federally qualified health centers to attract and retain physicians in their service areas, which results in a continued shortage of primary health care in the state’s medically underserved communities. Statutes attempt to address this issue by adopting regulations that reimburse FQHCs for all costs related to patients.
