Statutes ban contracts in restraint of trade or commerce and prohibit any person from monopolizing or attempting to monopolize any part of the trade or commerce within Louisiana. Statutes prohibit a corporation from acquiring another corporation engaged in the same line of commerce where the effect of the acquisition may be to substantially lessen competition, restrain commerce, or tends to create a monopoly.
