A bill for an act relating to the provision of health care services via telehealth for the civil commitment unit for sexual offenders. (Formerly HF 211.) Directs the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC), which provides health care services to patients at the Civil Commitment Unit for Sexual Offenders (CCUSO), to utilize telehealth instead of in-person delivery of health care services, to the greatest extent medically appropriate. The Bill requires the CCUSO to document the use of telehealth and any resulting savings in costs and staffing.
