Pharmacists providing drug manufacturer information to patients required. When dispensing a prescription drug intended for a person being treated for a chronic illness or condition, a pharmacist shall make information provided by a manufacturer available to the patient that explains a program conducted by the manufacturer designed to reduce the patient’s out-of-pocket cost for the prescription drug or to provide an amount of the drug free of charge in certain situations. The pharmacist is not required to provide more than one page of information. This subdivision does not apply to solicitations or advertising.
