Community paramedic and community medical response emergency medical technicians allowed to provide telemedicine services. This bill adds community paramedics to the list of providers that can provide telemedicine services under Medical Assistance. “Community paramedics” are
paramedics who meet the additional requirements for certification under section 144E.28, subdivision 9—two-years of full-time service as a paramedic (or its part-time
equivalent), completion of an approved community paramedic education program, and completion of a board-approved application form.
