Community health workers allowed to provide telemedicine services, and telemedicine encounter medical assistance limit eliminated. This bill allows community health workers to provide telemedicine services under private health coverage and MA. A community health worker must have a certificate from the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System approved community health worker curriculum and at least five years of supervised experience with a specified health
professional. The bill also provides an exemption from the MA limit on telemedicine services for certain services provided to treat and control tuberculosis.
