House Bill 4434 would amend the Insurance Code to require an insurer that delivers, issues for delivery, or renews in Michigan a health insurance policy that provides coverage for prescription drugs to provide coverage for up to a 90-day supply of any covered maintenance prescription drug, defined as a prescription drug that meets all of the following: • It is covered by the policy, certificate, or contract. • It is used for the management and treatment of a chronic long-term care condition and has authorized refills that remain available. • Except for anti-epileptic prescription drugs, it is not a Schedule 2 to 5 controlled substance.
