Public health; importation of prescription drugs; effective date. HB 2852 directs the State Department of Health to apply for federal approval to participate in a program allowing the state to import prescription drugs from Canada. The State Department of Health may charge a fee per unit in order to administer the program. The measure also prohibits pharmaceutical manufacturers from setting prices for or discriminating against pharmaceutical distributors participating in the program.
