Health provider assessments; relating to the hospital provider assessment and the quality care assessment; increasing the rate and expanding the base of the hospital provider assessment; amending membership on the healthcare access improvement panel; extending the quality care assessment. The bill increases the annual hospital provider assessment rate from 1.83 percent to 3 percent and requires all disbursements related to HCAIP be paid from moneys appropriated to the Healthcare Access
Improvement Fund and further provides no SGF
appropriations will be used to supplement the fund.
