Insurance; employee insurance benefits; HMO plans; effective date: HB1058, as introduced, removes the requirement that the Oklahoma Employees Insurance and
Benefits Board contract with and offer HMO plans. The board would instead contract with one or more third-party vendors to offer alternative medical plans, which may or may not include HMOs. The measure further requires that the board ensure all premiums are paid to vendors
within 60 days of receipt of the bill. The measure repeals the
requirement that the board provide a list of geographic service areas and zip codes to members.
