Consumer Protection – As introduced, allows the governor to issue an executive order declaring a market shortage or emergency due to a shortage of vital prescription drugs; allows the governor to rely on an executive order issued by the president of the United States declaring a market shortage or market emergency; prohibits the sale of vital drugs at unreasonably high prices during a market shortage or emergency; creates criminal penalties for violating this prohibition; allows the attorney general to enjoin violations and enforce penalties. – Amends TCA Title 47, Chapter 18.
