This bill seeks to create a new division called the Division of Policy, Planning, and Innovation within the Green Mountain Care Board. The division will aim to reform the health care system and develop an extensive state plan that ensures affordable, high-quality and equitable health care services. Furthermore, the division will work towards improving the overall health of the population, controlling health service spending, enhancing patient and medical professional experiences, attracting quality health professionals, and simplifying health care administration. The division will also work on initiatives to respond to statewide shortfalls in primary care, mental health, home health, and nursing staff.
