Statute require that insurers, health service corporations and health maintenance organizations that provide healthcare plans or services to provide coverage for the cost of healthcare services provided through telemedicine and telehealth. Statute requires insurers, health service corporations and HMOs reimburse the treating provider for the diagnosis, consultation or treatment of the insured delivered through telemedicine on the same basis and at the same rate for the same service through in-person consultation or contact.
