Among other things, states that the insurance commissioner shall collect data on emergency medical services, establish rates for the conveyance and treatment of patients by licensed ambulance services and invalid coaches, establish emergency service rates for certified ambulance services and paramedic intercept services, adopt regulations establishing methods for setting rates and conditions for charging such rates, such as requests for rate increases, and research, track and report on appropriate quantifiable outcome measures for the state’s emergency medical service system.
