States that a licensed hospital, which operates a pharmacy, may use electronic technology or telepharmacy at the hospital and affiliate locations to allow pharmacists to supervise pharmacy technicians in the dispensing of sterile products. The pharmacist monitors and verifies the technicians activities via audio and video communication. States that hospitals using telepharmacy shall undertake periodic quality assurance evaluations.
