From and after September 30, 1990, no medical benefits contract on a group basis delivered or issued for delivery in this state, whether issued by an insurance company, a hospital service corporation, a medical service corporation or a health care services organization, may require any person covered under the policy to purchase prescription drugs exclusively from a mail order pharmacy as a condition of obtaining benefits for the drugs.
