Ala. Code § 34-24-140.1. Board of Chiropractic Examiners — Rulemaking authority: Board of Chiropractic Examiners – Alabama

Status: Enacted
Year Enacted: 2017
File: Download

Statute gives the State Board of Chiropractic Examiners the authority to make rules and regulate the practice of chiropractic. The Board and its members are immunized from state and federal antitrust laws, if they adopt a rule that prioritizes patient safety and wellness. But the exception is not to be construed to expand or constrict anticompetitive conducts beyond those defined by N.C. State Bd. of Dental Examiners v. FTC, 135 S.Ct. 1101 (2015).
