Statutes state that it is illegal to conspire to fix prices, unreasonably restrain trade, or establish, maintain, use, or attempt to acquire monopoly power over any substantial part of trade or commerce of this State for the purpose of excluding competition or of controlling, fixing, or maintaining prices in such trade or commerce. Statutes exempt insurers and rating organizations to the extent that such actvities are subject to regulation by the Director of Insurance or are permitted by law in Illinois.
