Improving Access to Care Through Telehealth. The PCS to House Bill 149 would create a new section in the Insurance Chapter of the General Statutes
requiring coverage for health care services delivered through telehealth and would create a definition for
telehealth. It would require private health insurance plans to provide reimbursement for provider-toprovider consultations conducted through telehealth if it would do so for face-to-face consultations. It would state telehealth may not be used for an abortion, except in the case of a medical emergency.
