Health insurance; requiring health benefit plan provider to publish certain information on remuneration and incentives. SB 1558 requires each health benefit plan provider to publish detailed information regarding all forms of remuneration derived from rebates or other forms of incentives received from purchases of prescription drugs or medical devices. The information published must be published in a form and manner approved by the Insurance Commissioner and must be published on an annual basis beginning July 1, 2021. The Commissioner may require more frequent publications. The Commissioner may levy a fine of not more than $50,000.00 and/or revoke the license of any provider that violates the provisions of the measure. No contract may prohibit the publication of information required by the measure after July 1, 2021.
