An Act relating to insurance; amending 36 O.S. 2011,
Section 1219.5, which relates to modification of existing coverage; prohibiting certain changes to policy benefits; providing certain exception; and providing an effective date. SB 992 authorizes insurers to remove a medical provider from a network contract in cases of medical malpractice, billing, and collection violations as determined by the provider agreement or if the provider violates ethical standards as set forth by the State Department of Health.
