Telemedicine services provided by community health workers authorization; medical assistance (MA) limit for telemedicine encounters elimination. This bill allows community health workers to provide telemedicine services under private health coverage and MA. A community health worker must have a certificate from the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System approved community health worker curriculum and at least five years of supervised experience with a specified health
professional. The bill also provides an exemption from the MA limit on telemedicine services for certain services provided to treat and control tuberculosis.
