This bill would require all health insurance providers, group health plan providers, and HMOs to cover the cost of services via specific forms of telemedicine and provide requirements and restrictions regarding coverage and payment of such services. This includes the use of technology or media to diagnose, treat, monitor, or consult with other health care provides and does not include audio-only services, e-mails, facsimilies, or online questionnaires.
