The acute care hospital shall submit testimony on its overall financial condition to explain the hospital’s contribution to growth in total medical expense. The acute care hospital shall also submit testimony on efforts the hospital is making to advance health care cost containment and health care quality improvement. The commission, in consultation with the center, shall review such testimony and issue a final report on the results of the hearing, which may include recommendations for improvements to health care cost containment and quality improvement within the acute care hospital.
