A bill to establish a prescription drug affordability
board and related regulations; modifying various provisions governing insurance. The commissioner of commerce shall establish the Prescription Drug Affordability Board, which shall be governed as a board under section 15.012, paragraph (a), to protect consumers, state and local governments, health plan
companies, providers, pharmacies, and other health care system stakeholders from unaffordable costs of certain prescription drugs.
