DISABILITY INSURANCE AND SERVICE COVERAGE: All policies issued, delivered or renewed on or after July 1, 2017 by a disability insurer in this state must provide coverage for lawful health care services that are provided by a health care provider to an insured regardless of the familial relationship of the health care provider to the insured if the health care service would be covered were it provided to an insured who was not related to the health care provider.
