Illinois consumers have a right to access information about the qualit of health care provided in Illinois hospitals in order to make better decisions about their choice of health care provider. Act requires individual hospitals to prepare a quarterly report including a large variety of information that a health care consumer should know. The act also requires the Department of Public Health to publish a report summarizing the quarterly reports.
