PHAMARCY BENEFITS MANAGEMENT COMPANIES: pharmacy benefits management companies, or PBM’s, must be certified by the Department of Banking and Insurance. The bill requires that certain disclosures be made to covered persons concerning their pharmacy benefits coverage. In addition, it requires PBM’s to make certain disclosures to sponsors of health benefits plans who purchase pharmacy benefits management services or who are considering purchasing the management services.
