A contract between a managed care organization and a provider of health care may be modified except as otherwise provided in this paragraph, by the managed care organization upon giving to the provider 45 days’ written notice of the modification of the managed care organization’s schedule of payments, including any changes to the fee schedule applicable to the provider’s practice.
