RELATING TO BUSINESSES AND PROFESSIONS – PHARMACIES – INSURANCE – PRESCRIPTION DRUG BENEFITS. Establishes rights pursuant to pharmacist-patient relationship. This bill would allow pharmacy benefit managers and pharmacies to provide information regarding the cost share amount and the clinical efficacy of a lower-priced alternative drug if one is available. No insured shall be required to make a payment for a prescription drug at point of sale in an amount greater than the lesser of the pharmacy’s usual and customary price of filling the prescription or the contracted copayment.
